Intro: It’s very important you never leave your dog inside a parked car. Even if the windows are cracked and its only a few minutes, temperatures can skyrocket. Vehicles typically magnify heat so when you leave your car in the sun, it can feel like a sauna. On a 70 degree day, the inside temperature of your car can reach 89 degrees in 10 minutes or less. On warmer temperature days, this can be quite dangerous. Some states have laws against leaving pets in hot cars and owners can be charged if reported.
