Clint Field (#37-P1 Creation/CA06H/Judd) "I backed off at the start when I saw all the smoke. I didn't want to lock it up and get it sideways. I was really lucky to make it through. The car is running pretty good and we should be able to make it to the end if don't have any major problems."

Note: So far, with 65 minutes remaining, overall leader Marco Werner (#2-P1 Audi AG/R10/TDI) and class leader Luis Diaz (#15-P2 Lola/B06-43/Acura) have only made one pit stop and have not changed drivers.
