At 6:24 pm (1h 15m running), Johnny O`Connell (#3-GT1 Corvette C6.R) officially retired: Drive Shaft.

At 6:26 pm (1h 17m running), Chris Dyson (#20-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) and Stefan Johansson (#9-P2 Acura/ARX-01a) touch, spinning the #9 car in turn 10, but both continue.

At 6:27 pm (1h 18m running), Chris Dyson (#20-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) has spun and stopped in the middle of turn 6, cars are avoiding by driving behind the stalled car.

At 6:27 pm (1h 19m running), Yellow Flag: pits are closed.

At 6:29 pm (1h 21m running), Yellow flag: pits are open.

The gap is 2.463 seconds back to Mika Salo (#62-GT2 Ferrari 430GT Berlinetta).

At 6:42 pm (1h 33m running), Bryan Herta (#26-P2 Acura/ARX-01a) has rejoined the race.

Clint Field (#37-P1 Creation/CA06H/Judd) "I backed off at the start when I saw all the smoke. I didn't want to lock it up and get it sideways. I was really lucky to make it through. The car is running pretty good and we should be able to make it to the end if don't have any major problems."

Note: So far, with 65 minutes remaining, overall leader Marco Werner (#2-P1 Audi AG/R10/TDI) and class leader Luis Diaz (#15-P2 Lola/B06-43/Acura) have only made one pit stop and have not changed drivers. The maximum a driver can be in the car is 2 hours, so both cars will not only have to stop for fuel, but will have to change drivers by rule.

At 6:48 pm (1h 40m running), Chris Dyson (#20-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) into the pits. Fuel only, no driver change. gearbox oil, long stop.

At 6:51 pm (1h 42m running), Bryan Herta (#26-P2 Acura/ARX-01a): changes to the car included replacing the entire rear wing assembly and addition of 200 mph tape.

At 6:56 pm (1h 48m running), the air temperature is 79 degrees with a track temperature of 94 degrees, in the shade.

At 6:57 pm (1h 49m running), Marco Werner (#2-P1 Audi AG/R10/TDI), overall leader, into the pits. 4 tires, fuel, driver change: Emanuele Pirro. Rinaldo Capello (#1-P1 Audi AG/R10/TDI) takes the overall lead.

At 6:59 pm (1h 50m running), Chris Dyson (#20-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) spun and continued at turn 1, but is moving slowly on course with a flat right rear tire.

At 7:00 pm (1h 52m running), Darren Law (#44-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) into the pits. 4 tires, fuel, driver change: Lonnie Pechnik.

At 7:01 pm (1h 52m running), Luis Diaz (#15-P2 Lola/B06-43/Acura), leader in class, has been issued a black flag for avoidable contact with #20, the apparent cause of the recent spin in turn 1. The car is second place overall, and leads in class by 16+ seconds over Andy Wallace (#16-P2 Porsche RS Spyder).

At 7:03 pm (1h 54m running), Tomas Enge (#31-GT2 Ferrari 430GT) continues to lead in class by 6.345 seconds over Mika Salo (#62-GT2 Ferrari 430GT Berlinetta).
