At 6:00 pm (0h 52m running), Marino Franchitti (#26-P2 Acura/ARX-01a) into the pits. 4 tires, fuel, driver change: Bryan Herta. The car was then pushed behind the wall (behind the grandstand). As the team starts to work on the car, spectators have crowded around for close-up look.

At 6:05 pm (0h 56m running), Chris McMurry (#12-P1 Lola/EX257 AER) has spun and stopped backwards at turn 4. The field was bunched and were almost ready to go green. The lights are out on the safety vehicle to extend the yellow.
At 6:05 pm (0h 57m running), Dominik Farnbacher (#73-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) into the pits. 4 tires, fuel, driver change: Jim Tafel.

At 6:06 pm (0h 58m running), Ryan Briscoe (#6-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) into the pits. Fuel only, no driver change. Worked on some of the damage to the left side car. The car will return for a stop and hold penalty once the green flag comes out for rough driving. There will be an additional time penalty the next time the car has a full pit stop for a goggle infraction.

Olivier Beretta (#4-GT1 Corvette C6.R) "The track is good but the traffic is horrible. You use your tires up very quickly dodging through traffic but you can go easier for 2 or three laps and the tires will come back to you and you can start fighting again."

At 6:11 pm (1h 3m running), Green Flag.

At 6:12 pm (1h 4m running), Ryan Briscoe (#6-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) into the pits. No fuel, no driver change. served penalty for contact with another car #16-P2 Porsche RS Spyder was briefly the leader in class during the first pit stop by Luis Diaz (#15-P2

At 6:16 pm (1h 7m running), Luis Diaz (#15-P2 Lola/B06-43/Acura) leads in class by only 2.919 seconds to Andy Wallace (#16-P2 Porsche RS Spyder), trailing by less than 3 seconds.

At 6:17 pm (1h 8m running), Ross Smith (#22-GT2 Panoz Esperante GTLM) has been reported with loose body work on the front left.

At 6:18 pm (1h 9m running), Jaime Melo (#62-GT2 Ferrari 430GT Berlinetta) leads in class by only 1.8 seconds over class pole sitter Tomas Enge (#31-GT2 Ferrari 430GT).

Ralf Kelleners (#18-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) "I really love the track. I love it even better coming in the pits in second place. I hope we can keep up the good luck."
